About Interquip

The formation of the Interquip Group of companies began in the United States in January 1970 with the founding of Comtec Economation Incorporated. The initial focus of this company was to design and manufacture equipment used in the production of quartz crystal devices. This initial focus rapidly expanded to include the development of manufacturing processes to improve productivity at all stages of the production process for these devices.

The next step in the Interquip Group's formation occurred in 1978 when Interquip Limited of Hong Kong was established. Although its primary objective was to carry out trade with China, this new operation allowed Comtec Economation to expand its activities by utilizing the rapidly expanding, technically trained labor force of Hong Kong to support the design and development of certain new types of equipment targeted to the world market. In 1984 the scope of Interquip was changed again. At this time the goal was to expand investment in manufacturing resources throughout. With Interquip Limited coordinating the activities of all the affiliated companies, it was decided in 1988 to move all operations from the United States to one central location in Hong Kong. In September of 2003, it was decided to restructure the business again, with the manufacture and sale of quartz electronic components to be carried out by Interquip Electronics Co., Limited.

Interquip Electronics Co., Limited's current activities now include a much broader range than when it was initially established in 1978. The engineers at Interquip continues to design and develop new products and manufacturing processes to meet the Group's customers ever changing needs and to insure that the Groups factories are able to supply high quality, state of the art quartz products efficiently and at low cost.

All operations of Interquip Electronics Co., Limited are currently centered in company owned facilities of 1,200 square meter office in Hong Kong and staff personnel which currently number 28 persons.
